ILM NVQ QUALIFICATIONS
ILM NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Management
The ILM Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management will allow practising or potential first
line managers to develop their management skills, gaining the knowledge, skills and
understanding required to demonstrate their occupational competence against the related
areas of the 2008 national occupational standards for leadership and management.
ILM Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management
The ILM Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management will allow practicing or potential
middle managers to develop their management skills, gaining the knowledge, skills and
understanding required to demonstrate their occupational competence against the related
areas of the 2008 national occupational standards for leadership and management.
ILM Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Management
A Senior Manager who successfully achieves the attainment of the ILM Level 7 NVQ
Diploma in Management has the ability to reformulate and use relevant understanding,
methodologies and approaches to address problematic situations that involve many
interacting factors, including taking responsibility for planning and developing courses of
action that initiate or underpin substantial change or development, as well as exercising
broad autonomy and judgement. It also reflects an understanding of relevant theoretical and
methodological perspectives, and how they affect their area of work.
ILM Level 3 Award, Certificate and Diploma in First Line Management
The ILM Level 3 qualifications have been designed in a unit-based format to satisfy QCF
requirement and business preferences. The content is specified in units, each of which has
a title, a level, a credit rating and a series of learning outcomes and associated assessment
criteria.
ILM Level 5 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Management
The ILM Level 5 Award, Certificate and Diploma qualifications are specified in terms of the
minimum total credits required, and indicate the mandatory units with their respective credit
values. Optional units may be selected to meet individual or sponsor's needs to reach the total
Minimum number of credits required for the chosen qualification.

OCR QCF QUALIFICATIONS
Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults)
This qualification forms part of a new suite of Health and Social Care Diplomas which assess
a learner's competence (that is the skills, knowledge and understanding they have) within a
work situation. The qualification contains a wide range of optional units which will allow
opportunity for competence to be demonstrated in a wide range of contexts. This qualification
is to guide and assess the development of knowledge and skills relating to the health and
social care workforce.
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults)
This qualification forms part of a new suite of Health and Social Care Diplomas which assess
a learner's competence (that is the skills, knowledge and understanding they have) within a
work situation. The qualification contains a wide range of optional units which will allow
opportunity for competence to be demonstrated in a wide range of contexts.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (Adults)
This qualification is aimed at those working in a Leadership role within the Health and
Social Care sector in England. The qualification is open to learners aged 19+ without prior
learning or achievement of other qualifications. It is best suited to those who are already
working in a management role working with adults in a care home or care setting; or those
that are responsible for planning services, measuring performance and delivering continuous
improvement in care services.
